Church Leaders Came Together in Prayer Asking to

End Violence and Homelessness In Wichita .

It's a brand new year, and the City of Wichita took a bold step in moving forward in a new direction, that move forward was to acknowledge that we as a people can't fix all the problems, but knows who can, his name is Jesus, said Sedgwick County Commissioner Ryan Baty. This as the Faith community gathered for a City Wide Meeting hosted 1/4/26 by Wichita Prayer and Lead Wichita at First Church of the Nazarene ( 1400 E Kellogg Dr). 



The City Wide Prayer Meeting was open to all in the community, members from the Protestant , Catholic, Baptist faiths such as church leaders St. Paul AME Church , Catholic Business Professionals, City Life Church and many other from various denominations, finding common ground in one name and one purpose, to call on the name of Jesus Christ to help heal the broken in Wichita, Sedgwick County and our Nation as a whole. 

The Prayer Meeting focused on some key points, such as, the Great Collaboration, bringing all denominations who profess that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is alive in us , The Great Commission, sending out those commissioned to do the work of the gospel and the Great Compassion, helping the less fortunate by way servitude.
